Yesterday I met up with one of our newest members, Robert Kamenzind, at the Kingsland Community Center. Robert is new to our hobby and does not yet have a detector, however, after much research it is my understanding that Robert has settled on the Nokta Makro Legend. I asked him to bring whatever detector he gets to our April meeting for show and tell. In the meantime I loaned Robert my Nox 800 and Garrett Carrott pinpointer to give him some play time. We detected around the baseball field. At first I would find something with my detector and then have him swing the Nox to find the target and then dig it. He did so well that after a short time we separated and went out on our own. Robert only had a short time as he had other obligations yet he seemed to take to it like a fish in water. I do believe that we have an enthusiast here. If I recall correctly he recovered 1 quarter, 1 dime, and 3 or 4 pennies. I let him take my Nox home to detect in his yard until his Legend came in. As I have the Nokta Makro Anfibio Multi I am looking forward to seeing how the Legend does. It is all the rage on the Facebook metal detecting groups.
