Hey folks. Over the past few weeks Llano hosted two multi day rodeo events and one single day native American Pow Wow in the arena so I decided to see what I could find. I did find a couple of recently dropped coins as well as a recently dropped pocketknife. The rest of the coins and other items appear to have been in the ground for some time. In all I recovered 1 quarter, 3 dimes, 1 nickel, 6 pennies, a Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops pocketknife, several nuts from broken plow bolts, some other bolts, and 3 horseshoe nails. The pocketknife is in good shape but it sells for about $15 new. It certainly is not as nice as the one Jesse recovered following the Crawfish Festival. It is hard to tell from the photos but one of the pennies is a 1954 WHEATIE. I will try to do a cleaning and see how it turns out.
Remember, there is nothing stopping you from doing hunts on your own or with a friend or two. If you do get out we would love to see what you recover so either post your finds or send me your photos and details and I will post your hunt for you.
