I want to apologize to you all.   My internet service went down sometime during the night and just came up a few minutes ago.   For this reason I asked our Treasurer, Gary Goolsby, to let everyone know that I canceled our meeting for this evening due to the weather.  Both our Secretary and our Treasurer were still iced in and would not have been able to make it.  Because of this I was concerned that others who lived further away might have the same problem.  Unfortunately at least one of you did not receive that notice of cancellation and I do apologize.  Tomorrow I will contact the library to see if there is another date that they will let us have a make-up meeting.

I did want to let you know that I received a phone call yesterday from a fellow named Steven Heller.  Mr. Heller lives in Austin but has a lake house in Kingsland.   He got my phone number from our Facebook page or our club website, I was not sure which.   Anyway, Mr. Heller lost his custom made, 1 ounce platinum wedding ring.  He is almost certain he lost it at the lake house which is on a lot that is 0.88 of an acre in size.   He was wondering if any of us would be willing to help him to try and find the ring.   I told him that I am willing to try and I know that at least some of the other members of the club would help as well.   Mr. Heller is willing to let us keep anything else that we may find during this endeavor and he would be happy to grill up some hamburgers for our trouble.   He will call me back next week after the weather settles down and we will discuss a time and the location.   If he is willing to do it on a Saturday I could maybe call this as a club hunt.

Anyway, I will let you know what I find out regarding a make-up meeting as well as hunting for Mr. Heller's ring.

By the way, my son in Beaumont called me this morning.  My father-in-law passed away this morning after being hospitalized for a severe fall.   He has suffered from COPD for many years with it worsening in the last couple of years.  I will have to go to Beaumont in the very near future and I do not know how long I will be there.  I ask for your prayers for my son, Patrick, as well as the family of Gene Copley.

I hope that you are all warm and safe.
