Good afternoon. I have conducted 5 small hunts over the last week and here is my report of my finds. First I went to the Llano Soccer Field where I did a hunt on the dirt and gravel parking area following a very big tournament. I recovered 2 quarters, 4 dimes, 18 pennies, and a carabiner. I then went to the Llano Elementary School playgrounds were I recovered 1 quarter, 1 dime, 1 penny, and a heart shape gold painted charm with no engraving. Last Sunday, after another big soccer tournament and extra parking during the Crawfish Festival, I went back to the soccer field parking lot where I recovered 3 quarters, 4 dimes, 13 pennies, and some odd object that is open on both ends but there is something in the middle and it has orange writing on it. I can only speculate that it is electrical in nature but I have no idea what it is. Finally I went to the R/V and trailer parking area of the Llano rodeo events complex. There I recovered 1 quarter, 1 dime, 1 nickel, 5 pennies, a golf ball (surface find), the handle of a broken toy sword (surface find), and a spoon. From the markings on the spoon it is a common brand, lower end, stainless steel made in Korea.
Remember folks, we have the Club Hunt coming up this Saturday, 9:00 a.m. at the Llano Crawfish Festival grounds, including parking areas. See the map I sent you a couple of days ago. If you did not receive that email, please call me at 936-334-7902 so I can be sure I have your correct email address. According to the current weather forecast, it might be raining when you get there but it is supposed to be the tail end of the weather system so it should be light rain that will end shortly after you get there. IF it is raining you can choose to hunt in the rain or wait until it stops raining. So far, with all of the last couple of weeks of rain Llano has been missing out while it has been raining all around us. Don't let a bit of rain keep you from coming out this Saturday. If you are a new member who doesn't yet have a metal detector I have two that I will loan out for the Saturday hunt. Just send me an email that you want to borrow a detector and that way I will be sure to have the batteries charged.
