$1119.20 in bank account includes $465.85 from raffles
Children’s Easter egg metal detecting hunt coming up on 4th of April at Hailey Nelson Park in Burnet, set up at 8:00, hunt begins at 11:00 ending with silent auction at 1:30, Entrance fee $5.00 per person which includes hot dog and water. We still need various items including items for the silent auction. There have been some volunteers but we need several more to fill in at various stages. Please bring any extra metal detectors if you have any, to be used for the hunt. Get with Kevin if you can volunteer in any way. Hope to see as many as possible there.
The beach hunt is coming up soon, March 27, 28, and 29 at Port Aransas, should be a good hunt right after spring breakers! Get with Tom or Nyssa for more info.
There was no February hunt due to weather, there will be no formal April meeting because we will be meeting together at park. The May meeting will be on the second Saturday of May instead of the first due to elections. We will still be able to meet in our regular room since we were able to move the date to the 9th.
Remember the Llano Gold & Treasure Fest on May 2nd at the Llano visitor center and railroad museum and mining exhibit. It should be fun & interesting for all .
The club still needs a treasurer and a secretary on the board. Get with Nyssa if you can step into that position.
Tom spoke on the Hows, Whens and Where of sand hunting and certain sand scooping and under water scooping techniques. Nice to hear with the upcoming beach hunt closing in!
