Open by Earl Theiss, President. Welcoming & Introducing new elected officials. Earl Theiss, President ,   Tom Ashworth - Vice President ,  Gary Goolsby – Treasurer ,   Peggy Theiss- Secretary.

Gary Goolsby absent but turned in treasury report.

$948.93  in  bank account.           $119.00 set back for raffles.

2024 dues are an annual $15.00 per member fee. $5.00 goes to Texas Association of Metal Detecting Clubs ( State organization for support, info and help as needed). $10.00 goes to our club.

Today’s speaker is Tom Ashworth on the basics of metal detectors. Going over lots of interesting info. on various detectors, coils, settings, readings, and “how to”, etc.

Old Business: Raffle tickets purchased will be used and then saved for a big prize drawing in December. So the more you buy, the more chances you have for winning the big prize in December meeting. You need not be present to win the December raffle but all prizes must be claimed within 2 weeks. So make sure your name and phone number are listed on your tickets. If you need help getting into our website to access info., get with Tom Ashworth. Gary Goolsby has the t-shirts some are expecting, will bring them to the February 3rd meeting. The Feb. meeting will meet at big room at library at regular time, we will have meeting and then proceed to the Kuykendahl Center in Llano for a hunt.

New Business: March 23rd and 24th, at the Kuykendahl Center in Llano, is the “Best Little Treasure Show in Texas”. Our club will have a table for people to find out information about Highland Lakes Metal Detecting Club and hopefully sign up some new members. We will need volunteers to man our table and help with sign up of possible new members, there will be a sign up sheet for time slots available at our Feb. 3rd meeting. Set up for this event will be on Friday, March 22nd. There will be at least one hunt, you will have to register ahead of time for the hunt at Texastreasureshows.com, to participate. A raffle will be planned as a fundraiser for our club during the show.

Meeting is adjourned. Raffles take place and several prizes won.
