Hello all.   I have been just a bit busy.   Last weekend I hunted a school playground and a city playground getting 3 dimes and 2 pennies.   Then this weekend, knowing that both the high school and the junior high school had football games at the local football field, I went to the junior high school (where the only active football field is located) and really did good.   I recovered a $1 bill, 9 quarters, 5 dimes, 8 pennies, a locking ring, a piece of tin scrap, a bolt, a pin from a roller chain, a couple of fasteners, a plug from an electrical box, a piece of wire, and an aluminum piece from something.  Several of the coins I found under a couple of trees around 3 picnic tables behind the school where kids gather to eat lunch and hang out when they can where the teachers are not around to supervise.   It has been over 6 months since I was last at that area of the school.

Once the rain is over I will check the local rodeo grounds as they had a big multi day steer roping event there last weekend.

I am looking forward to the club hunt on the 29th.   Hopefully we get enough rain to soften up the ground at least a little bit.

After talking to Earl Theiss and Tom Ashworth, and remembering what Earl told us during the last meeting, the 2023 Treasure Show is going to be a lot of work for our club.  It is going to be very important that we have as many members as possible come to the November meeting on November 3rd to discuss the show.  I understand that two of our regulars will be out of town on that date but for anyone who is able to be there this will be an important meeting

As always, I encourage everyone to dig out those detectors, blow the dust off of them, and get to having fun with them.  Stay healthy and safe.
