November meeting will be on the 8th, same room, same time.

Keep in mind for board openings coming up in January, for president, vice president and secretary. Time to get some new faces, along with fresh, new ideas for our club.

Some ideas for December big raffle items were discussed. Could use more of smaller, usable items that many could use such as: rock tumblers, sonic cleaner, coin dip kits, Tom’s handmade scoops, various treasure digging shovels, hitch covers and pin pointers. If you have some ideas, let us know by the next meeting.

Our “Finds” contest is getting pretty popular! Lots of interesting relics, coins and jewelry being entered. Keep hunting!

Raffles are always interesting, enjoyable and fun. We can still use some donated raffle prizes but have been getting some good ones lately. Thank you all for donations & purchasing tickets, enabling our raffles to continue. Remember, anything will work as a prize, it does not necessarily have to be treasure hunting related.

W.C. Jameson gave a very good talk about his newest book, ”Finders/Keepers Rules”, and some information on some of his past books. All full of good info for all kinds of treasure hunting. Reminding us that recovery can be lots more difficult than discovery. Also the obstacles that can be involved from wildlife, location and getting to the sites. He talked about sites & situations analysis as well as locating, obtaining & keeping your finds. Sometimes the best situation is to just keep quiet! Remember too, that landmarks & locations can change over time and every expedition can be an adventure.

Kevin discussed with Earl some possible upcoming hunts may be in the works, and asked where can coins be sold and can members buy found coins from each other at a discount.

Remember to sign up for our potluck luncheon in December if you are able to bring something fine, if not, come anyways. So far, looking like some good eats are gonna be there!

Meeting adjourned after raffles concluded.

Respectfully submitted
