Remember, the November meeting will be at the Burnet Library meeting room which is on South Main St. on the North side of the square. Regular time of 10:00 am. Topic of the presentation is questions and discussion of all the speakers and topics we have gone over this year.
The October outing is posted by Tom Ashworth on this site. It will also be in Burnet by the YMCA.
The December meeting will be back at the Kingsland library for our Christmas party. We will also be having our end of the year grand raffle drawing. The club will provide: big pot of Tom and Debbie's home made chili, chicken and pork tamales (I had said pork and beef and enough said what about chicken instead of beef), a pot of Peggy's home made pinto beans (not that spicy but tasty), side fixings for all of that, water and tea, cups, bowls, plates, napkins, plastic silver ware. We ask the group to, but not required for you to bring to come to the meeting and stay for lunch, side dishes of your favorite foods (even if it is your favorite dish of the same ones the club is providing), deserts and anything else you feel would go with this meal. Non-alcoholic drinks only!
The raffle
As you may know we have been saving all the raffle money, and unpicked tickets which were left in the jar for this raffle drawing, this year for a main raffle at the Christmas party. We did good! We will have in this raffle:
- A new just coming out Garrett Vortex V9, with all the bells and whistles, metal detector as grand prize,
- Nokta Score 2, water proof, metal detector,
- Nokta Accupoint Pinpointer,
- Serrated metal detecting digging shovel
- Beach sand scoop.
- Silver half dollar.
6 chances to win! Tickets will still be sold up until the drawings. Please come and bring family and friends.
We always need more raffle prizes for next year. So, if you get a white elephant gift your don't want for Christmas.......we're open.
While we eat we will be open for discussion of what you want to have as far as presenters, topics etc. for next year 2025. The directors will be meeting to set up next year as much as we can in December. So, we need your input. Also, please start getting your 2025 membership dues in. Dues are $15.00 per year per person which gives you membership in our club plus the Texas Association of Metal Detecting Clubs, TAMDC, membership. See you there!
