May 3, 2025 was the first Highland Lakes Metal Detecting Club silver coin hunt. Twenty three people showed up with fifteen people entered in the hunt which included four new members. 120 silver dimes and 15 silver quarters was planted by the hunt master Tom Ashworth and his wife Debbie at club members Dan and Joyce Lynch’s house. All but 4 of the dimes and 1 quarter was found in the hour long. There was so much talking and exchanging information and learning how their detectors worked and how to set them up was great. And, what the hunt is about. Getting ready for all the clubs and organizations that are going to be having hunts that our members can get in on. Get ready for the next one.
